this may seem daft but here goes we just got the daughter a laptop so we had to go wireless so i got the netgear modem router and set this up on the desktop and the laptop works just fine.i now have purchased a wireless laptop so what i would like to know is do i have to put the yellow cable (LAN) into the laptop or can i use it like the daughters laptop anywhere in the house.in other words is that just plugged in so the desktop can connect to the internet.many thanks in advance :thumbsup:

Hi, if its a wireless laptop yes just set it up like you did your daughters and its all go.
