My computer is infected with the following adware viruses:

Clickspring
180 Solutions
softomate
clickspri.p
agent.ygl

What would you recommend to eliminate these viruses and to prevent future infections. My AOL security system did not identify them as well as spybot. I used Trend Micro's Housecall to identify problem but they were unable to provide fix. Please advise. Thanks....... Buckala

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Buddy, thanks for your suggestions. I used the free package super anti-spyware. It identified an incredible amount of spyware which was missed by the AOL Security System as well as Spybot. It cleaned my system of all except one very malicious and annoying virus from 180 Solutions. I used the Hijack This software from Trend Micro to fix this one.

Do you have any suggestions for a software package to prevent future infections?

Thanks.......Buckala

I think you got the malware from a game or some other free download. Be sure to read the Eulas before installing any software.
You can keep Super Antispyware Free for occassionally scanning. Just update once a week so it will be available.
I never recommend the AOL security because of all the adware that comes with it.
Spybot with the teatimer enabled is a good program.
Another I recommend is Spyware Blaster. It works in the background blocking bad activeX malware.
Actually, YOU are the best security program. Stay away from gambling, porn, free screen savers, etc. Never click on a link in email, open attachments, links in IMs unless you are 100% sure who sent them and what they are.

Did you check the Add/Remove programs? Read and follow the info for removing Outerinfo?
Run the Online Scan for Bit Defender?
