Windows Xp Shutdawn Botton Is Not Working

whenever i wpoul like to shutdown my computer. it will just restart. my os xp shutdown botton is not working........................
pls help me....................guys tnx alot

Do you mean that when the computer has shut down, it starts up again. (It acts as if you pressed "Restart" instead of "Shut Down"?) Or is the shut down button blanked out? With a bit more information I might be able to help you more?
