Hi all,

I have posted this problem before and I can not find it on the site, so here we go again.

When I try to use an email link or "contact us" link, I get this "error loading C:\PROGRA~1\Yahoo!\Common\ymmapi.dll" the specified module could not be found.

Other than not being able to use fast user switching and not being able to enable fast user switching, this is the only issue I have.

Not being able to contact people through quick links is a real pain because I have to copy the email address, if it is not an email address I am out of luck.

Somebody please help.

The .dll may have become corrupt, so you can try replacing it.
You can download a copy of that .dll here:
ymmapi.dll

At some time, you might find it necessary to reference a previous post, that you made.
There are several options that will accomplish this task.

1. If you are looking for a post, that you have made recently:
At the top of the page, click the My Assistant link.
A small box labeled My Assistant will open, containing 4 tabs.
Click the Information tab.
At the bottom you'll see My last 10 posts.
Click that link, and it will open a page containing the last 10 posts you have made.

2. If you want to look further back:
Click My Controls at the top of the page.
This will take you to, Your control panel.
On the left, under Subscriptions, you'll see Participating Topics with 3 options:
(7 Days) - every post you've made in the past 7 days
(30 Days) - every post you've made in the past 30 days
(All) - every post you've ever made

I have removed your other topic, since it was a duplicate of this one.

I didn't spot a definitive answer...but a lot of the references to this message reflect HJT logs (which is not necessarily good).

The dll error refers to a part of your Yahoo programs - so uninstalling them and reinstalling them using the latest available version should help to fix this (this presumes that this isn't a malware issue).

Fast User Switching, OTOH, is usually caused by either outdated video drivers, or the Fast User Switching service (and it's dependencies) not being enabled. Try updating your video drivers first, then check the services (Start...Run...type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter) to ensure that it's started.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
