The two have any connection ? I was just doing a little manual look around in the old task manager, and found suspicious the 2 IEXPLORER.EXE processes running without and permission, so lead me to get Ad-Ware 6.0 SE - Spy Bot, Trojan Remover, Registry Cleaner.. then realized Spy bot and adware hate eachother and eat your registry together. So , I was just going into add/remove programs and guess what the next suprise is - an non unstalling mIRC ? First off I don't mIRC and when I try to uninstall it, says i'm running it.. well.. i'm not. WTF - So I run Hijack this and find that the unpermitted tasks from iexplorer.exe running are coming form the actual IE explorer program file, WTF I USE FIREFOX. grrrrawr.. HELP PLS.

Boot into safe mode. You should be able to delete mirc from there.
