my budget is around $800.
I need something that starts up fast and can run multiple applications, online and off, without slowing down much.

There are some d620's, 630's and d830 refurbished for around $800 but im not sure about dell outlet, any wisdom?

Not sure of 14.1 or 15.4 yet either.

I looked at some hp's at circuit city but dell seems a better deal because of the warranty.

I need the laptop to work at least 3 yrs. Its going to be mostly sitting at my desk, and might make an occasional trip or two. Keep in mind i don't want something where im afraid to pick it up by one corner.

Any rec? thanks guys

I have an Acer laptop I bought a couple of years ago through Sams Club Online, you could check out what they have, maybe there is something for you there. I've had no problems with mine, I don't play any new games with it, I don't think it would be able to handel them. But for just messing around it works great.
