Windows XP pro OS
I have a Lexmark 3500 all in one printer. Only connects to computer with a USB cable. Was working ok at first. Some times the computer would not see the printer and sometimes it would. I have two USB ports on the front of my computer, and two USB ports on the back of the computer. New USB cable also being used. When I plug in the USB cable from the printer into the computer port , it power cycles the computer until I unplug the cable. I first thought the USB ports might be bad but my digital camera works fine when plugged into any of the four ports on the computer. I have re-installed the printer software three times
Thanks for reading my post.

All signs point to a problem with the printer, since your digital camera works. Try it out on a friend or relatives computer and see if it causes a problem.
