In my McAfee security Center, I viewed my logs, and saw several attempted unsolicited connections to different ports. Some are TCP, UDP. What is going on? It is from different servers, some are named and some are not listed. How do I find out if these are legit or are viruses, worms, spyware, adware, etc.? And if they are bad programs how do i stop them or get rid of them? Also can anything be done legally about these type of intrusions?

Thank you for your time and help.
