Well, i'm a little confused...

I purchased GTA: Sand Andrea when it first came out $$$$....anyway yeah alright i haven't completed the game yet as stuck on the mini aeroplane mission months and moths later, anyway i dropped the disc, i stepped back to pick it up and umm...hmm...you can imagine what happened....so i went out and got another copy of the game, i picked one up "New" for $20 it was a platinum edition one....i went to load the game and it comes up "Not Compatible" what the hell is wrong???? i borrowed a non platinum version from a friend and it loads the saved file....very very stupid...

Well, I don't know about the platinum edition, but they must of added some newer stuff in so you can't load the file.
