hey there Tea,
thanks, well it seems to be abit better (seems that ad-watch) is doing some job, as it keeps blocking registry change (and he blocks it alot, way 2 much) from a program called "lsass.exe". I really appreciate the atttention, thanks, so if you can still help me i'll be most glad.

Hello,

Please disable Ad-Watch, as it may hinder the removal of some HijackThis entries. Sometimes it does its job too well, like you said. You can re-enable it after your computer is clean.

1. Download this file - combofix.exe
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply please, along with a new HijackThis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Thanks,
tea

hey there tea,
well i have disabled ad-watch and downloaded the combofix file (from 2 different sources) but it keeps telling me that its installation files are corrupted and that i should download a "fresh copy" of it, so i did it and still nada, it might be a cause from my registry files problem i once had( because of this malware thing, as i installed ad-watch and on a startup it tried to block all my registry files, i have recovered all those i could find but since then i am having a wierd gibrish changeing msg at the start of windows each time, and i am having trouble using some of your tools), anyway as i was saying it seems i cant use it this combofix, but i have posted a new Hijack log.
thanks for the help

Hello,

Well then, let's try these and see if we can chip through it a little at a time.

Download the HostsXpert Here
http://www.funkytoad.com/download/HostsXpert.zip

Unzip HostsXpert to your desktop

Open up the HostsXpert program.

* Make sure that the "make hosts writable?" button in the upper left corner is enabled.
* Click back up Host files
* then click "Restore MS Hosts File"
* close program

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Thanks,
tea

i did what u asked and it changed my hosts to 127.0.0.1 from 2 kinds of hosts some how connected to msn
second i ran vundofix in safe mode and it found lots of files and removed them, then i ran it again in normal just to make sure.

i would like to add here that i already ran the vundofix couple of times but it comes back...

Hello,

Please disable Ad-Watch, as it may hinder the removal of some HijackThis entries. You can re-enable it after your computer is clean.

To disable Ad-Watch:

1. Right click on the Ad-Watch icon in the system tray and select "Restore Ad-Watch".
2. At the bottom of the screen there will be two checkable items called "Active" and "Automatic".Active: Switches Monitoring On or Off without closing
Automatic: Switches Automatic Blocking On or Off
3. Uncheck (red X) both items.

Please print these instructions or copy them to Notepad (or another word processor), and save it for easier reference. This is because we will be in Safe Mode during the fix and you won’t be able to access the Internet to view these instructions.

Please download AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition and save that file to your desktop.

This is a 30-day trial of the program -- This means that after 30 days the "background guard" protection will be de-activated. However, this version can continue to be manually updated and used as an on-demand scanner forever.
  • Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the setup program.
  • Once the setup is complete you will need to run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
  • On the top of the main screen select the "Update" icon, then under the "Manual update" section click the "Start update" button.
  • The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
  • Once the update has completed (the progress bar will display "Update successful!") select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
  • Once in the "Settings" screen:
    • Click on "Recommended actions" -> select "Quarantine".
    • Under "Reports:" -> select "Do not automatically generate reports".
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware. Please do NOT run a scan yet!
Next, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:
  • Reboot your computer.
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but just before the Windows icon appears, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, reboot the computer and try again.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear.
  • Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the "Safe Mode" menu item, and then press "Enter".
Please run HijackThis! and click "Scan." Place checks next to the following entries, if present:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8A410CCC-8B7D-480D-BEB1-9BB4F78511F8} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqrq.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winubg32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winubg32.dll

Close all browsers and other windows except for HijackThis!, and click "Fix checked".

Navigate to and delete the following files (if they exist):

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winubg32.dll

Then please run a scan with AVG Anti-Spyware:

IMPORTANT: Do NOT open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning, it may interfere with the scanning process.
  • Launch AVG Anti-Spyware by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
  • Select the "Scanner" icon at the top and then the "Scan" tab. Click on "Complete System Scan".
  • AVG Anti-Spyware will now begin the scanning process, be patient this may take a little time.
  • Once the scan is complete do the following:
    • If you have any infections you will prompted, then select the "Apply all actions" button, AVG Anti-Spyware will then display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.
    • Next select the "Save Report" button at the bottom.
    • Then select the "Save report as" button in the lower left hand corner of the screen and save it as a text file on your system (make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important!).
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot your system normally into Windows. Please post the contents of the AVG Anti-Spyware report in your next reply.
Please also post a new HijackThis log and let me know how it's running now.

Thanks,
tea

well i have been cheking in other forums about this decompression problem and the most i could find was that i could download the update manually and install it and thats what i did, i hope though that the definitions were up to date.

well i did what u asked and from the begining as i started working on it, it only improves so i must say thank you.
here are the logs, and i hope the diagnostics will be positive

Hello,

You're welcome.

See if you can download ComboFix now and run it, please. It's looking better, for sure, but I would really like to see a report from ComboFix if we can.

Thanks,
tea

i still cant download combofix it seems, i guess it hates me
but it seems that its all clean for now, except for some msg i am having each time i am loading my computer at the start of windows, some kind of gibrish msg
once i could discern it said something about "wuaneng.dll" or "windows/system32/mui/040e/xpsp2res.dll" something like that
well any way, i thank you so much for all you have done
thanks for the time and effort Tea, you are the best!

Well then, let's see what might be lurking in the registry before we look in another direction for the problem.

Download the trial version of Spy Sweeper from
Here

Install it using the Standard Install option. (You will be asked for your e-mail address, it is safe to give it. If you receive alerts from your firewall, allow all activities for Spy Sweeper)

You will be prompted to check for updated definitions, please do so.
(This may take several minutes)

Click on Options > Sweep Options and check Sweep all Folders on Selected drives. Check Local Disc C. Under What to Sweep, check every box.

Click on Sweep and allow it to fully scan your system.

When the sweep has finished, click Remove. Click Select All and then Next

From 'Results', select the Session Log tab. Click Save to File and save the log somewhere convenient.

Exit Spy Sweeper.

Restart your computer, and then please copy and paste the SpySweeper log into this thread.

Thanks,
tea

i tried downloading from your link but it asks me to subscribe (30 bucks) so i passed that and tried to find a trial, but all i found was a free scan, i used that and except for the "trojan agent, trojan winlogon hook" it found only 7 more cookies, but then it asked me to subscribe again.

is this what i needed to do? to subscribe? or is there another way?
