I got to learn a lifes lesson the hard way as its going to cost me either little over 500 bucks or 775 bucks plus more time.

I did not do something as I was busy and did not take the time for what needed to be done.

I put it off and then now I am told I am going to have to redo a lot of it plus pay the money out of my pocket as my parents said
they were not paying it.

I thought it was going to be cheap but the people changed the layout so now they want me to buy the whole thing over.

I learned a hard life lesson here. Thats a lot of savings I wanted to spend now completely gone.

Have you ever wanted to just kick yourself?

Never and I repeat NEVER procrastinate on something!

Anyone else ever learned a life lesson like this?

Sure, we've all made mistakes. But rushing into something can be just as bad as putting something off. For instance, my first mairrage, (spelling?), I rushed into that, had 2 kids and they cost a lot more than $800 by the time it was all over with. Especially if you count the child support I paid for years...

What you take away from this experience is what is important, you know what your mistakes were and hopefully will learn from them.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

How else are we to learn without making mistakes? Not everyone learns from others' mistakes, only from one's own mistakes.

I concur. We learn by making mistakes. Like TMack said, don't beat yourself up over it.

But I do know the feeling of having to address an issue/situation that I had absolute control over, yet allowed it to run its own course. Very Frustrating indeed.

...just noticed I'm about a month behind on this...LOL!!
