Does Flight Simulator Really Need 8800gtx To Play?

does fsx really need a 8800 gt to run

No. It can run with a much weaker graphics card, but to be able to turn the setting up you need a 8800GTX or similar.

would i be able to run it in full graphics with other graphics cards of the 8000 series

It depends. You could probably turn all the settings on high at an average resolution (maybe 1024x768 or 1280x960), with an ati x1950 series or nvidia 7900 series. Then when you start turning the extra features on, AA, AF, and other mumbojumbo it can be quite hard on your graphics card. What kind of card do you have anyways?

You couldn't do it with a 7900GTX or x1950. FSX is one of the graphically most demanding games out there and it also makes use of DirectX 10, so without a DX10 card and Vista you won't even be able to access the highest graphics settings. With 8500GT (provided you have Vista) you will have access to the settings but I doubt you could get acceptable performance over 800x600. Lesser settings should let you play it.

so if u put it on atleast medium high graphics and i put the resoultion down would it crash or work smoothly
