This is my first post so just bear with me, about 6 months ago the 2 accounts on my computer had a problem. When you log on (on either accounts) the taskbar (where the system tray and start button is etc.) started to lag. When I mean lag I don't mean the system tray loading up because there is only my firewall and thats all. It is just a dark blue bar with lines indicatining the end of the toolbars. There seems to be no help anywhere on the internet for this issue so thats why I came here.

I know you are thinking I have too many programs running on startup but trust me that is not the issu, this is a different problem alltogether.

Thanks!!!

Hi david.. If all you are running is a firewall, then your PC is most certainly infected.

You should also read and do all of this:
Simple steps to keep your computer secure!

Your PC may still have some malware installed. If so, then follow these directions:
How to submit a HijackThis Log

Here is a short list of what I think is a minimum of protection applications that you should be running:

Antivirus (Run only one.)
Avast Home Edition Antivirus Freeware
AVG Free Edition Antivirus
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/

Firewalls (Run only one.)
Zone Alarm Free for Personal Use
SyGate Personal Firewall 5.6
OutPost Firewall Free
Kerio Free Personal Firewall

Startup Application Monitor
Startup Inspector
