First of all, THANK YOU to anyone who can even attempt to help me, as I have tried everything but this.

Ok, here goes:

Windows defender reports that I have a Trojan called “Conhook.A”. It installs 2 other items called “Win32/small.CCC” And “Win32/Small.NCK” The two that conhook.A installs can be deleted but are reinstalled almost instantly.

Here are the details that windows defender gives:

Windows defender cannot repair it, and gives an error message:

Error encountered:
Code 0x80508017. Some actions couldn't be applied to potentially harmful items. The items might be stored in a read-only location. Delete the files or folders that contains the items or, for information on removing read-only permissions from files and folders, see Help and Support.

Category:
Trojan

Description:
This program is dangerous and installs other programs.

Advice:
Remove this software immediately.

Resources:
file:
C:\System Volume Information\_restore{F845E3DB-F751-4BE4-A620-64F2CA1BFB5F}\RP783\A0143466.exe->(RarSfx)->keygen.exe

containerfile:
C:\System Volume Information\_restore{F845E3DB-F751-4BE4-A620-64F2CA1BFB5F}\RP783\A0143466.exe

Norton 360, Spybot S&D, and AdAware all do not even detect it, and all are up to date.

I have disabled system restore.

I have run Vundofix and virtumundoBeGone, and Stinger with no results.

I even reinstalled windows (with files kept) and it still persisted.

And finally, here is my Hijackthis log:

Please help me! I really don’t want to do a complete system restore or pay Symantec $100 for something their product should already do.

Thanks!!!!
