does a Linksys wireless card require a certain type of slot inside the computer? will it fit into the same kind of slot as a 56K modem?

Its probably a PCI card slot, so in that case... yes. I actually took out my modem card and stuck in my current belkin wireless card. It'll probably be no different....

My friend had a USB card. It was pretty bleepty, but it's still an option.

it worked... i just took out the modem and slipped in the wireless card... i think the other slots that were there were just hard to get the card into...
