Hello - to anyone who can help.
I have been having severe lags and hangs when running my PC. Installed PC-cillion Inet sesurity 2007 but was unable to run the scan.
Attempted to use House Call - no luck.
Used Reg Cure - items were found, deleted and fixed.
Went to Symantec used the online virus scan and ended up with a result of 16 infections!
But no actual removal tools were available - any attempt to remove manually would be ridulous as so many problems detected!
Downloaded sysclean and zipfile of detection rules - ran scan in safe mode apparently only two infections were removed - Trojan.Byte Ver..... somthing? and adware..... something?
PC sometimes does not shut down also have an error appear - Microsoft.Net Framework .An unhandled exception has occured with a component of the software. Click continue and windows will attempt to ignore and continue - I think this has something t do with HPcue - Software for printer?
Spybot had been used on my PC until I installed Trend Micro software -

Would love somebody to advise with solutions

Hello Ames79, sorry for the delay. My name is Rorschach and I'll be helping you with your problems.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • If your anti-virus or firewall complains, please allow this script to run as it is not malicious.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Download GMER from here:
http://www.gmer.net/gmer.zip

Unzip it to the desktop.

Open the program and click on the Rootkit tab.
Make sure all the boxes on the right of the screen are checked, EXCEPT for ‘Show All’.
Click on Scan.
When the scan has run click Copy and paste the results (if any) into this thread.

Please download RUNSCANNER to your desktop and run it.
  • When the first page comes up select Beginner Mode
  • On the next page select Save a binary .Run file (optional) then click Start full computer scan at the bottom.
  • At this time Runscanner.exe may request access to the Internet through your firewall please allow it to do so, it will then run for two or three minutes.
  • On completion it will ask for a location to save the file and a name. It will do this for both the .run file and the log
  • Call the file "Select a file name here" and save it to your desktop. You will see the .run file on your desktop. Please zip that file by right clicking and selecting send to Zip file
Then upload that as an attachment along with the log file produced in your next post.
