Formatting Question

So when I restart my comp and put my image disk in my computer there is a black screen that appear and says "Press any key to boot from cd or dvd" then after pressing a random key instead of bringing me to the reformatting page data nothing happen and im stuck with the black screen but I can still type stuff so I was wondering if somebody knew what was the keyword command to access to the reformatting image disk data.

You can't just boot to an image file, the image needs to be transferred to the hard drive with the program that created it in order to function properly.

For example, Acronis True Image requires that you boot from it's recovery/repair CD in order to restore the image using the Acronis program.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
