CAVEAT!!! Backup your registry before trying it - you may need the backup to restore your system!!!
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Yes. Do the backup first. I think the ReG-Backup button in Winsock Fix does one too. But if it makes you feel less scared about it, I've used this several times in the past and it never hosed anything...and fixed my internet connection.
