Windows Cannot Access.....

Everytime i try to execute certain exe files i get this error,

Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.

Im running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 , i cant run Hijackthis either but i could a while ago

The things i have tried :
Run As -> Administrator
IE7 Security for running EXE
Unblock for SP2 - Can't See It

Could anybody please help me

If you haven't already, try re-naming the HijackThis exe file, there is currently malware that recognises it by name and prevents it from running. If changing the name of the file lets HijackThis run, go from there. If you already know all about this as a HJT trainee, please ignore this suggestion.

I saw something on the web about a bad update and i tried reinstalling it but didnt work, i reinstalled HiJackThis and it now works but i still have alot of other programs that don't, anybody got any other suggestions?
