Okay, this is odd to me, but, I am, simply put, computer linguistically illiterate. So, if this is really no big deal, please, don't laugh at me. Or, simply laugh and don't tell me.

My is relatively reliable, and I have never had any health issues over it, but recently I have noticed that it has been acting a little quirky. For example:
I had typed a text file, in MS Word titled "Copy and Paste", mind you, and when I typed my title, it saved a copy, but somehow another file of the similar name "~$py and Paste" was located in the same area. Ever since this odd little file showed up, my computer has randomly shut down, opened MS Word, caused problems with opening the internet, so on and so forth. So what I did was I contacted Help and Support and after a long winded phone call, and a few other computer related magic tricks, it all boiled down to shredding this file using McAfee Shredder. Unfortunately this hasn't solved the problem, and my compy is still comitted to irritating me to no end. If anyone knows of any reason why it does this or, even better, ways to fix it, please, I'm desperate. I've got a novel to work on, and this sillyness is not helping. Seriously. Thirty pages of work. Gone. If you have any idea of how sick I felt, you'd vomit too.

Thank You for your Consideration,

I'm not all that experienced with MS Office, but until others come along. Has Office been fully updated? Here's a link that offers some troubleshooting tips

Nothing to laugh about - it's a common problem. Typically the file starting with the tilde (~) is a temporary copy that wasn't deleted when it should have been. Many things can cause this - but I doubt that this is the cause of your problems.

But, problems with the Office suite can cause issues - so I'd recommend running the repair that's usually located under the Help menu (and visit the update site as garmanma advised). If that doesn't fix things, I'd first suggest running these free, online scans:

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I have the Knack. **  If I haven't replied in 48 hours, please send me a message. My eye problems have recently increased and I'm having difficult reading posts. (23 Nov 2017)FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.<p>If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond. If that's the case and help is needed, please PM a staff member for assistance.

Well thank you for the help, but now i've run into bigger problems.

I've gotten the blue screen of death message at least 3 times this week.
I have no idea what is wrong.
My compy hates me.
