I recently switched from the evil Norton to Avast, and am liking it, however I have a quick question or two:

1. I am using the Sygate firewall, so do I need to have all of the protection of Avast, aka Web Shield, Network Shield, etc.

2. Will Avast's Network Shield etc. slow down internet browsing and such? It seems to scan about every .jpg on a page, which doesn't seem neccesary\

3. This is the wrong place to ask this I think, but is phishing filter from Windows neccesary?

Thanks,

Id Rather Not Use Internet Explorer, Try Mozilla Firefox
You can pretty much tweak it any way you like, with
Themes
Extensions such as Adblock Plus (blocks most advertisements), NoScript (A Script Tool which can block malicious scripts from damaging your computer)
And Loads more ways. :flowers:
But if you insist on using IE, I'd leave it on if i had a fast connection, but if its slower, i'd turn it off. :trumpet:

Not Sure about the Network Shield and Web Shield, i dont use avast.
