Howdy,

I am currently using the Spybot 1.4 version with TeaTimer.

When I downloaded it a couple of years ago, I followed the instructions in the Bleeping Computer tutorial thread on how to make the most of it.

Is there anything that should be done after I download the new (1.5.1) version.

Thanks for your time.

Dennis

You can still use the tutorial as setup and configuration is basically the same. Then read Changes & Improvements in v1.5.

Your welcome.

You may also want to consider using SUPERAntiSpyware Free which is an excellent scanner to supplement your existing tools.

Thanks quietman7.

I have been using SUPERAntiSpyware for several months.

I update it and use the full scan feature daily.

Is it necessary to have it running full time ? Or should I just use it on demand ? I have it set to run at start up.

Thanks,

Dennis

The free version does not run in real-time mode...a purchased upgrade to the "Professional" version is required before this option can be activated. See Free vs Pro Comparison Features. If your using the free version, use it as an on-demand scanner...no need to run at startup.
