i use Vodacom prepaid, with a 2Gig Data Bundle
i always get this error:

================================================================
Bad Gateway
The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_NO_DATA] The IP address was not found during the DNS lookup. Contact your system administrator.
================================================================

i get it on random sites and then i can't access that site from between 5min to 36 hours,
reconecting / restarting do not help. :thumbsup:

System info:
Win XP home SP2
Trent micro PC-Cillen firewall (Disabled)
WinXP Firewall (Enabled)
Modem: Nokia 6822 cellphone, set up as bluetooth modem connecting using Nokia PC suit 6

i have disabled my firewall and configured XP firewall to allow the ports that i want to use, but it's still blocked.

Games like AOE1, AOE2, Quake3 dont connect at all for online play and i can't Host on any other games on the internet.
Msn messanger also sometimes gives a error message "key ports blocked"

at the moment i'm getting the "Bad Gateway" error for this site: http://s2.travian.co.uk/

This is the result of running the ipconfig command while getting that error:

is there a possabilaty that i need to configure something in a simular way as a router?,
but i dont have a router :trumpet:

maby i need a proxy setting?,
but i'm not on a network, my computer is not connected to anything else, my modem is as dialup and IP and DNS is looked up automaticly.
so i cant think of the need to setting a proxy.

i have contacted my ISP (Vodacom South Africa) and they stated they don't block any ports, and don't have a outo firewall on the connection.

this is crazy, if anyone know how i can fix this plese let me know

:flowers:

Make sure you don't have any weird virus or program running. I just had a dialer on one of my computers a few days ago that completely kept me from getting internet. Try getting ad-aware or something and scanning your whole computer. Sometimes weird things just get ya.

I'd suspect that the Teredo stuff is interfering with your connection. I'd try disabling IPv6 in your connection to see if that helps. Otherwise, try resetting the router to it's default values.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

how would i go about resetting my router if:

1. I have no stand alone router.
2. i use dialup.
3. the "Teredo" stuff is from the "Bluetooth LAN" adapter.
4. nothing in my device manager is named "router"

as far as i can see i have no router, but maby between my bluetooth hub, bluetooth LAN, and bluetooth modem (nokia 6822 phone) my computer may think it have a router? if so then how do i configure it? how do i FIND it?

please any help would be REALY appriciated
