Hi all. Ive just been browsing around and noticed Spybot has a new version, 1.5.1 with more improvements.

Has anyone downloaded this yet, and if so do i need to? Ive noticed it says that most of the new updates and scanning authority has been supplied with 1.4.1 updates, but is it worth updating to the new version?

Just wondering....

Generally it is best to have the most up-to-date version of security related software (as long as its a stable, tested release, which this one is) as they will have more support in the future, as well as generally being more reliable and better at catching those nasties from getting onto your system.

I have downloaded it, no problems so far, all looks good Posted Image

EDIT: as you can see from here, if you look under the Detection and removal of threats heading you can see the improved detection. Not to mention all the other improvements/bug fixes/added support on that page.

Thanks for that, ive just always been impressed with Spybot, and have the theory that if it aint broke, dont fix it! So if its a complete version then, i guess i will happily download it. Do i need to uninstall the version on my PC first, or does the new one right over it?

Thanks
