Hi and welcome,

Sorry for delay.

If you still want assistance please post a fresh hijackthis log here.

Thanks

They don't look like normal services....
Only thing I can thing of that would have those as legit services is if you ran multiple runs of rootkitrevealer. If they are RootkitRevealer files they would be from Sysinternals.
Did you run RootkitRevealer and it crash part way through scan or save log?
I'll have an order of massive trojan attack please with a side order of rootkit and virus dip.
Pre-course order of fresh spyware salad please with a side order of polymorphic dressing.
And to drink...a nice tall glass of adware!

For dessert; can I have a bowl of the freshest worms you have please?.

Never Give Up!

HI, and thanks for the reply and welcome!

Yes I have run RkR many times but it doesn't crash...I do get a notice from the firewall (kerio) when it is compiling or sorting though.

Hi,

Sorry for delay. Service calls.

Can I see a startuplist please?
Start Hijackthis
Click "config"
Click "misc tools"
check both options beside "generate startuplist log" and create the log.

Post it here.

We'll clean up those RKR services.

Those files showing up in temporary interent files keep returning?
How is the machine running?

Thanks

Hi Blender,
I've tried to get rid on those files in safe mode and in DOS.
The puter runs OK...I only want to make sure it is secure!

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the log.
I was under the impression you were having problems. lol

As for those services...(the ones created by RKR) you can delete with the following batch file:
Each time you run RKR it creates a new random name service. they can be safely deleted after since the same one is never used again.

Copy the following text to a new notepad file.
Save it as file name clean.bat
As file types: All files(*)
Save it to desktop.

sc delete DINP
sc delete GNZLJB
sc delete JEYKKGHAE
sc delete LIZHMDMQ
sc delete SEI
sc delete UVIJRB
sc delete WFIOCTL

Double click it when done.
Should see "dos" box flash up and dissapear. Normal.
Your antimalware might ask if its OK for each of these service to be deleted. OK it.
All we did here was delete those leftover services from registry.

Those services should be gone now.
No need to reboot cus you had already disabled them & files no longer exist because you nuked your temps already.

Let me know if everything is still OK.

Thanks
I'll have an order of massive trojan attack please with a side order of rootkit and virus dip.
Pre-course order of fresh spyware salad please with a side order of polymorphic dressing.
And to drink...a nice tall glass of adware!

Hi,

Sorry for delay.

What do you mean "won't go away"
You delete them and they re-appear even though you don't have IE open?
Those files in themselves are not harmful (0 byte files) but I am curious as to what is creating them.

Make sure IE is closed.

Paste this line into the run box, then hit enter:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Bauer's\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5"

Open the Content.IE5 folder and delete all those sub folders within.
Then empty the recycle bin.

Reboot> check same folder. They back?

Pre-course order of fresh spyware salad please with a side order of polymorphic dressing.
And to drink...a nice tall glass of adware!

Hi,

yep. That is normal.
Skip the index.dat & delete just those folders.

Blender, if you don't think they're a problem...I will leave them there. You have been more than kind to help!

Hi,

I don't think they are a real problem "per se" but it is not normal for them to do that so I'd rather be rid of em.

See if you can get em like this:

Boot to Safe mode under the administrator account. (no internet!)
I want to use the admin account so nothing should be locking anything in your account.

Enable system to show hidden files/folders:

How to view Hidden files/folders.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/
don't forget to hide files/folders when we are finished cleaning.

Once that is done go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\Bauer's\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

Delete the contents of the Content.IE5 folder.
You can delete Index.dat too.
Empty recycle bin.

Boot back up to your account & see if those files return.
Let me know if you had trouble to delete them.

If that don't work I got a few more tricks up my sleeve.

Thanks

Hi, I still get the same message. I don't think windows recognizes these files. I ran CCleaner in safe mode...it removes them, and they come back.
