Hi, I need some help regarding my HP desktop running XP home. I was sent from the factory a set of several recovery discs that no longer download from disc #5. Now my system is stuck awaiting #5 to be loaded. When I start the computer in regular mode I receive the message ntldr missing, restart. Is there anything I can do to get my desktop back up and running? I have contacted HP for a replacement disc but I am out of warranty so there is a nominal charge that is more than the computer itself! Can someone please help me! Thanks a bunch!!

When trying to install these disks, is the CD drive listed as the first boot device in the BIOS?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
