I have a problem with my broadband where the ip address is not renewing. It appears to be software related because I have replaced the hard drive with an old one temporarily and it works with the old one.

It seems to have occured following spyware removal which is posted in "am I infected". Basically I was told to download Smitfraudfix, RogueRemover and SUPERantiSpyware Free.

I was told by tech support to type in on the command screen netsh int ip reset r.txt which is apparently supposed to reset the ip but it didn't work.

I've fixed it

On another forum it was suggested typing at the command prompt NETSH WINSOCK RESET CATALOG then ENTER and this worked :flowers:
