Well.. im not very smart when it comes to computers and such... so if this sounds stupid hear me out , i bought a new 5.1 Surround system for my computer... when i got it out , i realized it had 3 connectors.. " Green " , " Black " , " Yellow " - Now the sound card i had in my computer was old , and only had the " Green " plug in , so i thought.. what the hell.. why not go buy a card made for 5.1 Surround , so i come home with my new card... get it installed , and can hear almoste no difference besides from the minor static i was getting while playing music.... it doesent matter if the " Black " , " Yellow " connectors are plugged in , it sounds the same.. so whats the purpose?? , I know black is suppose to be for the Sub , and im not even sure what the yellow is for.. But if they're not plugged in , it sounds the same as if they were... hmmm.... If someone could explain to stupid me the purpose of these plugs it be appreciated.

ok here is what I am thinking the other two speakers the second left one and right one are usually for backup sounds meaning like they won't be the main sound producing speakers, you will notice difference in movies and games though, do you have a matrix button on the speakers controller?
