I was looking at ebay today and have in the past and have looked up lets say laptops on ebay. Or even a cell phone is a better idea. And I will be looking at the side images when a picture of a woman in very little clothing will show up even though im looking for the laptops or nothing to do with that type of stuff.

I have also opened auctions about stuff and they will have flash images of several pictures and one picture(these images move very fast!) I noticed one time was a topless woman.

Now this was on a projector listing! I was looking tonight and saw that if you type in a celebrity lets say B spears you will get tons of images and listings.

But along with those listings comes bad images. Britney spears for example will have tons of listing some with pictures on the side saying "Britney spears in shower topless l@@K!!"

And to the right show a small version of the image her being topless.

My point of writing this is that if you type in words not that most would but if you did words like "TOPLESS" "NUDE" "NAKED" or such you would get listing with images to the right and be exposed to porn right on ebay.

What if a child goes to ebay and types in book for fun and gets a adult picture?

When will we all stand up and say enough is enough? The internet is a dangerous place but why should ebay be? I used to feel safe that they wouldnt show porn on ebay without telling you the listing had it first but no more now they just show the images to the right before you even open the listings!

As parents out there what do you think of this? Did you know of this? I already wrote ebay and am awaiting a reply.

PORN ruins marriages so why would a site like this host it when they know kids come there and shop?

Please give me your opinion on it.

You would probably do better to sit down and carefully compose an Email and then send it to Ebay.
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.

Unfortunately porn is here to stay on the internet, and any system where the masses can pretty much upload anything they want without it having to be manually checked by someone else first will always be victim to this abuse - sad but true, and as much as we might agree that its wrong, you won't be able to do a thing about it - to a degree. All I can really say is that if you feel your children might be exposed to something you'd rather not have them see, then don't let them surf alone. I suppose you could have your browser or filter software block all images from sites where you know mass uploading is going on (such as E-Bay), but some may feel that to be a tad drastic. The choice, as they say, is yours.
