Hi again, just a quick question.
I keep getting a email either asking me to click a link or open a PDF file attachment.
I know not to click links or open file attachments if I don't know who they're from.
My question is....
If I dint click the link in the Email, but instead copied and pasted the address into my address bar could I still get infected.
Can you get a Virus by just viewing a web site ? or can spyware/Adware be installed by viewing a website.
Thanks.

Whoever sent you the email is likely to know that you opened it. Yes, it is very possible to get infected by just visiting a site.
The safest thing to do is never open an email if you don't know who it is from. Never open an attachment you were not expecting or click on a link without checking it out first.
To avoid "driveby" infection with malware use Firefox browser with the NoScript extension.

Consider any unwanted or unexpected E-mail, with or without an attachment, as extremely dangerous, and immediately delete it without reading it.
