Google is your friend:

You can even use videos as desktop backgrounds but I have forgot the program name now. Do a search on it and I am sure it will come up.

One word of caution, screensavers and wallpaper downloads can carry some nasties. Download to desktop and scan with anti-virus first

I've seen this done using Winamp. If you have it installed, hit CTRL+P, Visualization, select Advanced Visualization Studio if it isn't selected already. Hit the Start button at the bottom of the dialog. Then right click the Visualization window and pick AVS Editor. Go to Settings > Display > and check the boxes "Overlay Mode" and "Set desktop to color". Then when the visualization is running it will appear as a desktop wallpaper.

Try looking for free versions and like its been said above always scan the .exe file BEFORE installing it. Sometimes its not always "really" free.
