Windows Xp Service Pack 2

When ever I try to install XP service pack 2 I get a message that says,"access denied". Why? :flowers: It downloads fine,but when go to install it I get the same message each time. I turn off all spyware,popup blockers,etc., I have. Has anybody ever had the same problem? Thanks :thumbsup:

Yes I went to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916247 and validated my xp.Tried to install service pack 2 again got "access denied" again. Yes I have also logged in as administrator. Thanks for the replies. :thumbsup:

Have you scanned for malware and have you updated your drivers to SP2 compatible ones? These are the most common reasons for SP2 not installing.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
