two dvd's for the price of one!

Computer thinks it has two dvd roms when it actually has only one. Whenever I try to use it to burn a dvd, it says device already in use, though it's not. I tried uninstalling the other dvd rom but it keeps coming back up when I restart. Anyone have any ideas how to sort this out?

Do you have Alcohol 120% or 54%??? Or any other DVD emulation program?
