Hi,

First of all, I notice from the log that there are running more than one different Anti-Virus programs with Auto-protect enabled. AVG Antivirus and Norton.
Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with eachother, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

So you have to make a decision here and keep the Antivirus you prefer and uninstall the other one.
Then reboot after uninstalling.

Then, * Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), combofix will open again to gather the necessary information for the log. This may take a bit. When done, Combofix will close and a log should open, combofix.txt.
Post the contents of this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I removed AVG and kept Norton. Not sure what to do about the firewall thing. I downloaded the Sygate Firewall....should i disable the built-in firewall?

Here is my Combo Fix log....it came up as log.txt (so I don't know if I am also sending the quarantine details you didn't want me to send!)

should i disable the built-in firewall?

By default, it should already be disabled once you install Sygate Firewall.

Perform next steps please..

* Open notepad - don't use any other texteditor than notepad or the script will fail.
Copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into notepad:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\anculbco.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\peyktmov.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pkrkcjew.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\scsbfnqe.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mobvgyqm.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vturp.dll

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{655320D7-CE55-4D28-BA9B-DEDC4CA4C2EF}]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"SystemRestoreStatus"=-
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\vturp]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon\notify\winrvc32]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{1f31695c-db2c-11db-b483-00c09fce0031}]
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\&Search]

Save this as txtfile CFScript

Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.

Hello,

Check and fix next leftover in HijackThis:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Please set your system to show all files.
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Please hide your hidden files and folders afterwards again, when we are done with this thread and your problems are solved, because above instructions to set your system to show all files, unhide legit files and folders as well.
And I don't want you to delete them because they may look suspicious. To hide them again, just perform the above instructions in the opposite way.

Navigate to and delete the following file and folder:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\prutv.bak2 <== file
C:\Qoobox <== folder

Let me know in your next reply how things are now....
