I was having serious issues with spyware and adware that kept causing IE to crash. I went out and bought McAfee Internet Security Suite and installed it. Now I'm getting this error: SPORDER.dll missing . . . Now I am unable to access the internet on the infected computer. I downloaded HJT to a CD and ran it on the infected computer and it crashed. So I read that a certain type of malware may cause this so I downloaded and ran HijackThis v1.98.2 and here is the log from that scan. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can find instructions for replacing sporder.dll at the bottom of this tutorial.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-use-microsoft-antispyware-beta/

The connectiivity should come back once the file has been replaced.

Then, createa frech HijackThis log and paste it into a reply to me and we'll take a look at the malware and the best way to clen it up.

Thanks

I have encountered similar problems. Initially my homepage was "hijacked" and I would show www.securityprecaution.net with a pop up telling my that my PC was infected. I then installed Webroot Spysweeper and updated my McAfee suite, only to now encounter the sporder.dll is not found, and therefore no internet connectivity.

I ran an adware sweep, but since then have received the sporder.dll message.

Any help would be appreciated - I just want to proceed with the correct steps.
Thanks.
