I recently used the smitfraud fix to remove spyshredder and such from a clients computer. Everything works good now...except the desktop will not accept images. I am stuck with a white desktop. In addition my client can't see graphics on some of his websites in either IE or Mozilla...strange. Can anyone help me out?

Hello berg and  to Bleeping Computer.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties > Desktop tab > Customize Desktop button > Web tab.
If there is an entry there delete it and then click OK. Now you should be able to change the desktop background.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
