I have a user that is getting popups to download Win Antivirus 2007. These popus evetually take over the broswer so you have to close the broswer all together. I have cleanded out all temp files and folders and the machine seems to work a little better, but the popups keep appearing. I have run a Hijack which is attached. She has Windows XP with SP2. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello cnpalfrey :thumbsup:

Please download Combofix to your desktop:
  • Double-click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

I tried downloading combofix from your link and other links on the web and I keep getting this message.

You are not permitted to download the file "ComboFix.exe" because it is infected with the virus "Misc/Dumphive".

URL = http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

File quarantined as: .

http://www.fortinet.com/VirusEncyclopedia/...Misc%2FDumphive

Is there another place I can get it from. Thanks

This is a false positive. Please disable your anti-virus guard, then download the tool (fast), double-click to run Combofix, once finished re-enable your antivirus and post back with the Combofix log :thumbsup:
