HELP! IM A N00B WITH THE IBIS TOOLBAR!

I have looked at lot of removal directions and I dont get them cause I know NOTHING about computers...there seems to be alot of codes and stuff though...but I dont know where to find them to delete them...if thats what Im suppose to do...eeeks...can someone give me step by step directions please? thank you

Sorry it's taking so long to get a reply. I suspect that if you have the IBIS toolbar, you may have other infections also. In the meantime, you might simply try going to Add/Remove Programs which can be reached either from Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs, or in XP by simply going to the Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs.

Look for such things as "Web Search Toolbar," or "Web Search Tools," or "Win Tools Easy Installer" and remove them by highlighting them and clicking on Add/Remove and then following the instructions.

And then, I suggest that you post a Hijack Log in the Hijack folder of Bleeping Computer, under Security -> Hijack Logs and Analysis. First read the thread titled "How to Submit a Hijack Log," and someone with more experience than I will help you out.
