My computer has an intermitten fault with the connection for the browsers. i use mainly opera but when the problem comes even IE does not work  What it is mainly is my browser internet connection dies, i cannot display new pages on IE or opera and the only thing that will fix it is rebooting the pc, this is rather annoying especially when you have lots of things open. anyway this seems to happen a few times a day with no explaination. my isp seems to think its a problem with vista as my connection has been on solid for 19 days.

another problem that is maybe related is if i click a link on a webpage sometimes i get page not displayed but if i go back and try again sometimes it does work the second time, ive asked a lot of people on vista an xp and various isp's and they seem to have this occasionally too. anyway, i have reinstalled vista fresh and it still does it, i still have the same issues, its definately not adware or spyware or anything liek that and its ot a hardware fault because i get no problems when i run my computer on xp 64 bit.

can someone help me with this annoying issue please? i have tried to look for log files and i cant seem ti find anything.

Depends on your connection to the internet, and if it's Vista compatible (router, modem, ISP hardware/software). Try disabling IPv6 on your system ( Go to Start and type in "ncpa.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter). Right click on each connection and select Properties. Uncheck the box that says Internet Protocol 6 (IPv6) and click OK to accept the change.

Next, disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag by following these directions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233

This will fix quite a few issues with Vista's connectivity on older networks - but is no guarantee that this is your problem. Also, the only program that relies on IPv6 (to my knowledge) is the Vista program Meeting Space - if you don't use it, you don't have need of IPv6.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
