I recently contracted the virtumonde adware/spyware/virus... whatever it is. Since then my power supply fried itself and now my pc keeps locking up. I've run through all of the steps listed in your HJT section and now I'm posting my log here. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum DigMeSource :thumbsup:
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad".
This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article:
http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546

You are well advised to remove the program now.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present,then restart your pc:
Viewpoint
Viewpoint Manager
Viewpoint Media Player

Download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

Also post a new Hijackthis log please.

Disable Windows Defender's real-time protection,as it may interfere.
* Open Microsoft Windows Defender. Click Start>All Programs>Windows Defender.
* Click on 'Tools'>'Options'.
* Under 'Real-time protection options', unselect the 'Turn on real-time protection' check box
* Click 'Save'.

Copy and paste ALL the following blue text in the Quote box below into Notepad.
Click on File(in the menu at the top)>Save as../Save as Type: 'All Files' /File name: CFScript to your desktop.

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jkhfd.dll.vir
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hhkmp.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mlkkj.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xybeg.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\onnmp.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\klnmp.bak1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\setup9x.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbzip10.dll

Folder::
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
C:\DOCUME~1\ALLUSE~1\APPLIC~1\Viewpoint

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{BC7E5ED6-888D-4979-81DC-752F6CB8EA25}]

Now drag then drop the CFScript file onto ComboFix.exe as seen in the image below.

OK, I successfully deleted that file. We'll see how things run from here. Can you give me some idea as to anything that was giong on? Just curious so I know what results I might see. Also, I'd like to know if I need to go through the same steps to overcome such issues in the future. Thanks for all of your help. Especially since I was in and out all day. I'll definitely come back for a visit if I run into anything.
