The Graphics Card in my 5yr old PC is a Radeon 7500. Last year after having my PC reformatted I updated the original drivers to the Catalyst Software Suite Version 6.11 and it has been like that ever since. However this morning I came across a site called File Hippo which had a whole list of updated drivers since 6.11 the latest of which was version 7.8. Not being very technical minded I would like to know if it would be ok to install the 7.8 version on my machine?.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

I doubt whether you would derive any benefit from trying later Catalyst releases. Version 6.11 (Driver Version 8.32) is the one ATI specify for the 7500 - this usually indicates no further updates have occurred for that chip in later releases. Later Catalysts up to the current 7.8 (Driver Version 8.401) have been developed to cover the later chips, but I'd think the 7500 support would remain the same, otherwise ATI would update the site to point to a later version.

Thanks for the reply Platypus. I had a feeling that would be the case.

6.11 is the latest Catalyst driver with Radeon 7500 support.
