Hi there,

Right just going to give you some background storey. Bascially, recently moved so have a new ISP which is Tiscali. Got their "SpeedTouch" Broadband Modem. At my previous house we had out Wireless Router which was set up for us by a wireless broadband company. The Router is a "Dell 2350 Broadband Router" and we are currently trying to get the internet through this instead of through the modem so that we are able to use wireless laptops. What I have noticed which appears to be strange is that the telephone wire does not go straight into the router, the previous ISP provided us with a "Smartbridge" unit which turns the phone wire into a ethenal wire (think thats right) so that the wire can go into the internet port on the Router. The internet light does not light up though, I have gotten into the router but cant see any obvious changed to make. I changed the connection type to a DSL PPOE, and put in the username + password but still no response.

Can anyone help??

I can only think of two things...

1. Is the power cord connected?

2. Call your ISP and ask if the set up is possibly with your router.
