I have a sony laptop. I can open and save pictures sent to me in my yahoo e mail but I am not able to "save to" anything else. I can't do pictures off websites or clipart. Where normally I can take the cursor onto a picture and hit "save picture as" and send it to my hard drive or a removable drive it just doesn't save it. I get no error messages and everything seems to be working but the photo never shows up where I chose to save it to. I'm fairly sure I have a setting someplace that is not set properly but I have no idea where to look. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

When you click "save image as" does another window pop up offering choices where to save? Have you checked in Recent Documents, My Documenst even my music. Try searching for any .jpeg file or folder and see what shows up
