 to BC Chef-Brian!!
Have you tried reinstalling the game and updating it online to eliminate any bugs?

Final Fantasy VII is an old game for the PC, it is not compatible with Windows 2000. There is an unofficial patch that may get it to work.

Go to a site called torrentportal, make sure you have a torrent downloader ready-FFVII PC Ultima Edition: only download the one with the most seeders, otherwise you'll never finish the download, then create a virtual disk run it and you're good.

The Ultima edition fixes some errors with the game and gives the game greater compatibility with XP. I haven't been able to find a hard copy of the game, the only way to get it is to use a torrent network.

My friend bought me the PC version of FF7 for my birthday years ago.

Ya I remember trying to get FF7 to work on my computer, what a hassle. After it installed it would bring up the menu screen then just go to a black screen. I remember it's a very bugged game.

Somehow I think it's better if you just bought a PS one from your local GameStop and go on Amazon and buy FF7...

Besides the fact that it is now about $70...
I hate my life :(
