Internet Sound?

I have a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop. Im having difficulties with sound. I can hear AIM sounds, but i cant hear anything online. I open up youtube and none of the video audio wont work. when i put in a usb headset, it says it installs it but when i check audio devices, it says none.

Apart from using the internet on your laptop, can you hear other computer osunds e.g mp3 playback, system error sounds, etc?
If all else fails, hit the reset button.

I can not hear mp3 sounds and system error sounds, all i hear is a beep

Sounds like you might have some missing software called 'sound drivers'. Could you be abit more specific with your laptop's specification, such as how much memory, what operating system your using, how long you have had it.

Knowing this will help us diagnose your problem!

Out of curiosity, is there anything in device manager that has a question mark or exclamation point?
