Last night I installed W2k Pro and SP4 on a HP Pavilion 6736 that previously was running ME, and when I went to get online for updates I found that there were no drivers that are suitable for this modem. I have uninstalled the modem in device manager and had the installation wizard recognize it after rebooting but still can't find the appropriate drivers for it. Before I pull the modem out and get the information off the card and download drivers for this can anyone think of anything that I may have missed here?

Have you been to hp yet? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...859&lang=en there are several different modems listed, if you remember what Windows identified the modem as you should be able to find it.
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently
