I have just purchased a cordless optical mouse for my Vista laptop.
The mouse seems to work fine.
My question is that the Logitech install instructions say to go to their website and download the software for the mouse.
My concern is that if all seems to be working fine should I still download their software.
Will it do any harm.
I wrote Logitech Support but did not get an answer.
I just don't want to mess anything up.
Thank you.

If it does what you want and you're happy with it, why bother? "If it ain't broke, why fix it?"

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

I agree with garmanma, there may be some extra features available in the download like choices of scrolling, fax feature and internet call notification.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

The Logitech software provides additional functionality that you may want to use - but if you don't need it, I agree with the others

"If it ain't broke, why fix it?"

FYI - I only use the Logitech software because I want to use the scroll button on my Logitech Trackman Wheel as a Back button when browsing. If it wasn't for that, then I wouldn't use it at all!
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
