Good morning everybody,

I am having problems with my Vista @ work.

Windows media player opens itself and pops up constantly putting itself in front of all programs running.

If i minimize WMP then it pops up again.

At first I though maybe something was jammed on my keyboard or my macros set to my mouse but its neither.

It's also wierd because i cannot find it in my uninstall list.

This problem is beggining to be a headache, and I called our tech guy to come fix the problem but he is clueless on this problem.

Any help that anybody could give me would be greatly appreciated  !!!

Thanks,
Jake

Go into "Services" and set it to manual or disabled.

Go to start > click on all programs, click on accessories, click on run, then type services.msc in the box. Click ok and the services window should pop up.

** note: You may have to 'run as Administrator'.

I went into those settings and disabled them all (the media ones).

Still pops up even with those disabled.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this problem?

Reboot and see if you still get the popups.
