My name is Rob and I'm a Cisco Engineer (CCNP, not CCIE) from New York..

I found this forum while trying to Fix my Aunts Laptop yesterday... She dropped it off with the Blanket statement:
" I can't even use the thing!!! The second it powers Up, I get a hundred popups!"

I've managed to clean it up pretty good... No more popups, and it's running much faster... It was loaded with Trojans...However, I'm still getting some detections when I scan the PC with Ad-Aware AND SpyBot... So, I think I will gather my info, and start a new post in the Infections section of this forum.

Anyway... This site has helped me soooo much already with my fight...

Both Ad-AwareSE and Spybot should allow you to quarantine the items they find. Let us know in your post in the Infections forum if this is not happening.
