Files Renamed With A .cts Extention

I received a laptop from a friend who was having many issues. i was able to boot into windows and copy his my documents folder to a flash drive. when doing this i noticed the file names for all his pictures had been changed to filename.jpg.cts I'll been searching for days now and can't find a solution on how to correct these files. any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Does he use either of these programs?

.CTS - ABC Programming Language Permanent Location Contents
.CTS - ClipTrakker Clipboard Collection (SoftwareOnline)
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Can you open the files in a text editor or in a hex editor to see if there's any info there?

I don't have anything to open the file to see the hex. i can try to open one in a text editor.

This might sound rather Computer 101 Stuff, But did you try to rename the file without the
.cts extension?
